Milner's Tower Isle of Man/Port Erin

I was trying to get a certain angle I just could not get. I was trying to get my Nana's house, and the tower, and just skim the ocean water without the sand. I need a wide lens, but I got the picture for the most part. here is some history on the tower you see on the left. I have a lot more pics on my facebook, that were 365 worthy :)

Houdini Rabbit

Rabbit Drama... So, this rabbit lives in a luxury two story children's doll house. It used to live with another rabbit in a rabbit hutch, but then it was discovered that they were not of the same sex, so they had to be separated. So now it lives in the Ritz Carlton of rabbit homes. The other day, when my Uncle went to feed it, he could not find it, and the door seemed to have been opened. He then went outside to learn a neighbors car had been vandalized, as she had left it open..so he assumed the same people opened up his shed and children's play house looking for things to steal, hence letting the rabbit out and then it ran away. It was a rough dinner conversation, that's for sure... Then the next day, while they were looking around, they found the rabbit.. It had climbed up the stairs to sleep in a baby bassinet. About four feet of stairs! So luckily the rabbit is safe, and he continues to live large in his new house!

Do not let your husband do the laundry.

This is what happens when men do laundry. There are 18 mis-matched socks here.... ;P I love my Uncle Mike.... he tries!!! I am sure the other 18 socks will appear. :)

Delicious lunch in Nottingham

I should be uploading a picture of a beautiful old building on here, but no... I am uploading a picture from the front of the restaurant we ate at today...because it was sooooo delicious. Chinese, Mexican, Indian, Italian, Thai, Japanese.. Delicious. Made to order food, too. Yum. Crisp and fresh vegetables.. Vibrant colors everywhere... Jam packed.. wait to get in,and to get out.. Lymm Cross

This is a great memory of mine. I realized where we were when I saw this... So cool to visit England. SO much history. Read about it here, and they have a 24/7 webcam on the cross as well. Back in 2005 people destroyed it, and I believe they had the webcam back then.

Ahhhh the airports...

I was at the Ft. Lauderdale Airport at 8 AM. First flight to Charlotte, NC. Sat there for 6 hours.. had a few drinks, some gross food, an awesome massage, a manicure...some facebook fun.. and then to the next flight to London.. Sat there for five hours.. Sat in my seat and paid for internet access to keep me semi stimulated and awake. Had some yummy candy, three energy drinks.. and the next flight is to Isle of Man, which is my final destination. 22 hours of not much to do at all. Met a couple of nice people in my travels.. had some strong drinks... but ready for some fish and chips.

Sorry not much today

Been packing for my trip to England, and going to work now.. SOOO not ready for this trip :(

Peacocks!

It's the little things

The little things amaze the kids.. Great playground field trip, but they were all fascinated playing with the mulch! :) Not much to write, busy, busy, busy.. will blog more about it on Sunday.

Going Places!

Sorry... no awesome pics for today. I had a lot going on, and was constantly in and out in the house, resulting in losing my shoes a couple of times! Aren't you jealous I can still rock the flip flops and tank tops in February? Gotta love Florida!

Day After Valentine's Day!

What an exhausting shift Valentine's Day was at the restaurant! WHEW! I really needed a day of good behavior and no excitement! The daycare kids were really well behaved and played nicely all day. I went to lunch with my friend Britney and it was a great calm after the storm the day before!!

Happy Valentine's Day! Lots of money spent making sure the kids enjoyed their special day! Erianna really wanted this dog so her Dad got it for her.. I got Erianna and Austin a card, candy and some money!

What a great looking cat! Went to my Dad's tonight. We watched a great TV show then had an excellent dinner at an Italian place nearby. Nice calm evening...then I came home to a LOUD house. I hate when my neighbors have parties! You would think we had cardboard walls! Quiet now.. time for bed! NIGHT!

Just some pretty flowers I bought at the store yesterday when I went to buy the ingredients to make home made Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. Can you say delicious?!!? So good, I may never buy ice cream again!

Valentine's Day

I love this holiday! I am not such a lovey dovey person, but I really enjoy gift giving and getting creative this time of year. I was up late melting down crayons into heart and star shapes for my daughter to make into necklaces to pass out to her classmates. Over 400 crayons peeled and melted to make about 50 of the heart and star crayons. We also made our own Valentine cards too for each of the students. We made them Valentine door hangers. We got her teacher a cute "Love Bug" made by Hallmark and we put a $25 gift card and some candy in it, and made her a frame and put Erianna's picture in it. We are done. We conquered the holiday again! :)

The Best Toys

The best toys aren't always the ones marketed to kids! I was making pasta with the kids today and they had a blast looking at their reflections in the mixing bowl. It was super cute!

What's that smell?!??!

Yesterday I smelt something bad in Erianna's room, but couldn't figure it out... Today I took down her huge tent and started looking around, but found nothing... The smell was getting really bad, and then tonight, we found the culprit. My husband took the kids fishing on Saturday. Erianna packed her bag complete with three dolls, sweater, chips, Twizzlers, pencils and paper. Tonight when beginning her homework, I asked her where her pencil box was, and she said she must have left it in her other book bag. Upon opening the bag, the smell was unbearable. Her loving brother had planted a shrimp at the bottom of the bag on Saturday, and two days later in warm South Florida you can only imagine the smell!!!

Ice

Not much to write about it, just a quick shot of Austin one hour AFTER bed time. Erianna is not feeling well, going to be a late night :(

100th Day of School

So, today was the 100th day of school in Broward County. The kids have been preparing for weeks. Making posters with 100 items on them, writing books, and preparing their costume for this special day that signifies the school year being more than half way over! I must say the trip to Goodwill and Sally's Beauty Supply was for sure worth it once we put the outfit together. She looked amazing. The cutest granny in town. Rocking grey hair, lots of make up, grandma glasses, starbucks cup, shiny purse and a poorly coordinated outfit. They were supposed to look 100 years old, or look like they were from 1911 or 2111. What a fun day! I think Erianna looks awesome! :)

Livi

Well, I took some photos during nap time today of the kids that were not sleeping, and this is my favorite one. That is the angle it was taken. it wasn't flipped upside down. She had her feet up kicking her crib when I walked in. She gave me a look...like what's going on? The original picture was great, but I wanted to work with different filters for black and white and different editing techniques.. I had her lips pink at one point but it drew away from her eyes. I love it, and I love her! Even when she isn't sleeping during nap time!  Taken with my new lens:

First and a last time for everything...

The dogs need vaccinations. Go to the vet..or go to the mobile clinic at Pet Supermarket? Spend 300 each dog or 100 each dog? Be in a vet's office with just the vet or be in a pet store with other dogs, birds, cats, etc? Well, I should have taken them to the vet, because I THOUGHT I had it mapped out. 
Mobile clinic at Pet Supermarket which is .08 miles away from the house. Starts at 5:30 finishes at 7. 

Get out of work at 5:30 latest, go to Pet Supermarket and pick up paperwork for vaccinations, as I know I will not be able to fill it out and hold two dogs. Pick up son, call baby sitter.. Have baby sitter watch kids, walk dogs there to tire them out, hence better behavior.... NOT
After walking and attempting to tire out the dogs, they still insist on eating every dog in pet supermarket. They lift the dogs up and put them on a table for the shots...my dogs are like hell no are you picking me up.... So I have to hold one dogs leash and pick another 70 pound dog up. Fun times. I was that lady that people talk about. The lady with the horrible, aggressive, mean dogs. Nope, they are just dogs. They will stand and guard children all day. They like most people. They hate dogs. They reallllly hate yappy little dogs. They think you bark at me, I bark back, I play super rough. No bueno.. No Bueno. Let's not even talk about when I was paying upon leaving and I loosened their leashes so I could grab stuff out of my purse...and yep... they saw the big old cat cage, and went absolutely insane and tried to knock it over.. Yep, I am that lady. I will NOT be doing that unassisted again. 

The picture was taken when we got back and they drank a lot of water and splashed themselves with it after a fun and exciting evening!
