Erianna and I went on a train ride while we were in England, and we were wondering if you would like to join us :) Erianna video taped it for her little brother Austin, and we would love to share it with you!

Mother's Day was finally, actually just another day!

So this mother's day actually proved to be great.  I woke up, got lots of kisses from the kids.  My husband got a couple of cute cards from the kids and dogs, and my best friend Jason made me one from scratch, which was very amusing.   I worked all day, and it was busy, but ran extremely smooth.  We all were cracking jokes on each other all day, and loading up on espresso based drinks and energy drinks every hour.  I am surprised I was able to sleep last night!  

In the morning, when I was at work, my friend and coworker Ryan called me and asked me to come outside for a minute.  When we got to his car, he had two mother's day balloons.  He said he had a yearly tradition of letting one go every year on mother's day for his mom, and got one for my mom this year, too.  So we let them go together, gave each other a hug and ran back into work.  It was really nice. 

A couple of years ago,  Erianna had let go of a balloon on accident.  You parents out there know how devastating that is for  a child... I immediately started praising her and telling her that it was very nice of her, and that my mom would get the balloon in heaven, and she would love it.  Ever since then, my daughter has an obsession and wants to always give balloons to my mom, but I had to explain to her that, sometimes they don't make it to heaven and end up in the ocean and a dolphin might choke on it! 

Mother's Day actually kinda sucks to me!

Mother's Day.  Everyone assumes because I am a mom to my two kids, and like a mom to five other little angels, that I deserve mother's day, that it is "my day."  Actually it is the worst day of the year for me.  This is the fifth mother's day since my mom has passed away, and I don't think it is ever going to get any easier.  It's a very busy day in the restaurant business, and I normally take off at least the evening shift, because I can't deal with high stress, when I am emotionally exhausted.. Well this year, I am going to do it.  I work all day, 10am-11:30pm and I am going to "man up" and deal with seeing all these people celebrating with their moms.  I am going to try not to get upset, but I am sure I will have at least one breakdown....It happens when I see someone that reminds me of my mom or the relationship we had.  Well, hopefully my mom can still see me, and she would be proud of me for starting a home daycare.  If she was around she would probably be working with me everyday, because working with kids was her passion as well.  I really miss my mom and I really wish she was still here, and that she got to meet my awesome kids.   xoxo
